The corridor’s story is not one grand opening. It is a sequence: family music, purpose-built theaters, roadside attractions, traffic pressure, and a city adapting around its visitors.

The roadside becomes a district
More theaters, lodging, restaurants, and eye-catching attractions clustered along the highway. The corridor became both a destination and the principal way through it.
New roads answer visitor traffic
The City of Branson says it invested in more than twenty miles of new and reconstructed roads designed to work with state highways and improve access around Highway 76.
An identity broader than country music
Country and gospel remain visible, but the district also includes large theatrical productions, museums, immersive attractions, rides, shopping, and an increasingly varied food scene.
